Barcelona and Spain midfielder Aitana Bonmati has been named The Best FIFA Women's Player for the second year in a row.

ToggleBonmati played a crucial role as Barcelona achieved further success in the Women's Champions League, Liga F and Copa de la Reina last season. After being named the winner of the Ballon d'Or Feminin in October for the second time, she has topped it off with a second straight FIFA prize.

The 26-year-old scored the opening goal and was named Player of the Match as Barcelona beat Lyon in the Champions League final at the pinnacle of a fantastic campaign. She also broke the deadlock won the same award when Spain won the Nations League final against France in February. Bonmati also appeared in The Best Women's XI alongside five other Barcelona stars.
A Barcelona player has always taken home the award since 2021 as Alexia Putellas won it twice in a row before Bonmati's back-to-back success.
Bonmati will have little time to celebrate her success as her team are gearing up for a Women's Champions Legue clash against Manchester City on Wednesday.
